GTEN team recently interviewd Mr. Hassan Syed CIO of ISIS.

Hassan is an industry veteran who is currently spearheading development of ZIMS a Software as a Service (SaaS) based product using Microsoft Stack, providing one, single, real-time, animal record on the web. ZIMS Release 1.0 was developed with an investment of ~$5M, valued at $19M by a third party assessment of total earned value

• On your association with GTEN: Global Testing Experts

We started our journey with GTEN similar to all other vendors with a pilot project. In a short span of one month, we had the confidence to start with the GTEN team on the biggest projects with an impact on 80+ countries and 850+ Zoo and aquarium Institutions across the globe. GTEN team along with itself brought the expertise and dedication of automating the Telerik RAD controls. Not only they came up as a great team player in whole project, they also helped ISIS in achieving around 80% automation of the whole ZIMS thereby decreasing the testing cycle from 2 weeks to 4 days and giving us an estimated savings of $51K(in terms of US onshore billing rates) in every testing cycle.

• Your experiences while managing GTEN teams

“Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” GTEN team has the same to offer to ISIS. Although, they were the ones to join ISIS little late for ZIMS. They put all the effort to come to speed and provide the major automation work before the Release of ZIMS first version. In terms of team management, the team had a single point of contact making the communications easily manageable. They delivered every single testing assignment on time and never missed any single major deadline. Over and above, the team had every individual talented to understand the unique ZOO world, with lots of intricacies and more than 10,000 functional points in the existing application.

• Strengths and areas of improvement for the GTEN team

Strengths – The go to approach of GTEN and vigour to perform even the most difficult tasks are the main strengths of the firm. GTEN has the capacity to deliver everything they commit on time. They can improvise in the area of communication, although the team has single point of contact with the communications being smooth, they should insist for more communications and explanations in case they need more domain knowledge.

Great effort and work! One of the most committed and hardworking teams, I have worked with during tenure of 24 years of my career.

• Your vision for a growing relationship

GTEN has been one of the best teams to work with. ISIS will be more than happy to work and pick more assignments with them in the future.

Knowing Hassan better

• I love: On one hand, I like meeting new people, visiting new places and talking. On the other hand I like spending time alone in a boat or on top of hill. Besides that working and taking up difficult tasks and accomplishing them till success is something I am passionate about J   
• To play: Video games, being a computer freak, this is something which I have done and still love doing. Besides that any other sport which I can lay my hands on for a short amount of time.
• To watch:  It’s the company which makes anything interesting or boring, so again any movie, with good company of family or friends.
• To eat: Good food, any type anywhere is something I can always appreciate. Over and above that sweets add to the sweetness in anyone’s life, so that is a must have. 
• To visit: Cairo, Egypt - the pyramids because that is one place I have been many times but never got a chance to see.
• To drive: I believe it’s the journey which matters and  not the destination so on a long drive with people close to me, in any comfortable car.
• I Appreciate: Music and poetry, all the things that are meaningful and can relate to my heart and soul 
• My Family: is awesome!
• What matters the most to me in life: A sense of purpose
